Ayurvedic oils for hair- Bhringraj Oil for Hair Growth
Ingredients: ½ cup of Bhringraj leaves or two tablespoons of Bhringraj powder (we recommend using the fresh leaves for better results), ¼ cup of soaked fenugreek seeds, and 500 ml of cold-pressed coconut oil.
Time: 1 hour (with overnight ingredients prepared)
Process: Soak the bhringraj leaves in some warm water for 5 minutes, then drain and blend them into a smooth paste along with your fenugreek seeds soaked overnight. Add this bhringraj paste or the bhringraj powder as well as fenugreek paste to a medium-sized pot and pour in your coconut oil. Place the pot over the stove and turn it on. Bring the concoction of this hair growth oil to a boil on high heat. Once bubbling, turn the heat to medium-low and let the hair growth oil cook slowly as the herbs infuse all their properties into it. After 20 minutes or so, turn off the heat, and let the hair growth oil cool down completely till it reaches room temperature. This should take a couple of hours. Place the pot in a cold water bath directly underneath the fan to speed up the process. Once the ayurvedic hair oil is cool to touch, strain it using a fine mesh sieve and cheesecloth, then transfer to a sterilized glass bottle and store this bhringraj oil for 2-3 months. Use as you would any other oil for hair growth.
Ayurvedic oils for hair- Brahmi Hair Treatment Oil
Ingredient: 50 g of dried Brahmi leaves or 2 tablespoons of Brahmi powder, 3 fresh amla fruits or 2 tablespoons of amla powder, and 500 ml of sesame oil
Time: 40 minutes
Process: Blend up your Brahmi leaves and fresh amla minus the pit together in a blender jar with some warm water. Add this paste (or just skip the blending and use Brahmi and amla powder instead) to a medium-sized pot. Pour your pure sesame oil into the pot and place it over the stove and turn it on. Bring the concoction of this hair oil to a boil on high heat. Once bubbling, turn the heat to medium-low and let the ayurvedic hair oil cook slowly as the herbs infuse all their properties into it. After 20 minutes or so, turn off the heat, and let the hair treatment oil cool down completely till it reaches room temperature. This should take a couple of hours. Other ways to Use Bhringraj & Brahmi for Hair

- Hair Treatment Mask - The beauty of DIY home remedies lies in the fact that everything is easy, straightforward, and customizable. There is no wrong recipe or the incorrect combination of ingredients. One simply needs to mix some yoghurt with either bhringraj or Brahmi powder or even both! Add half banana mashed and a splash of apple cider vinegar. Give it all a good mix and apply it on freshly cleansed hair.
